Men's latin pants

The fit of these pants

I hate to revive an old thread, but I'm about to order from mensdancepants.com, and I'd like to know how they fit compared to jeans. The instructions say to measure my waist an inch below my belly button and use that. That's 37 inches.... but I wear size 33 jeans. Do I follow the measured size or my normal pant size?

Those of you that have ordered these pants, can you list your normal jeans size and the size you ordered from mensdancepants.com? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Charles.

you likely wear your jeans down on your hips, which is not where you should be wearing your dance pants. Measure as they say, and pull your pants up. :)

I wear my jeans just below my belly button level. If I wear them at my hips you can see my pot belly. (Working on it, dance has already helped me lose a *lot*)

I have a showcase April 24th and I want to look my best. In dress pants I am larger, I'll check against those. Thanks.

Charles.

I apparently skipped over this thread the first time around, probably bc I don't know anything about men's latin pants, but I wasn't paying attention today and started reading it.

Disclosure- I know the company's owners in a casual acquaintance kind of way and they are very nice (hello! they will probably read this), but I don't have any personal experience with their dance pants. Unless you count dancing with someone wearing their pants, but generally speaking I wouldn't notice anything about my partner's pants unless they fell off or something spectacular/horrifying happened.

For what it's worth, I believe the Bill Sparks endorsement is legitimate; he trained/coached the owners.

Also, hi to Charles. *waves*

thanks

Thanks for the warm invite everyone, I'm already really liking this board. :)

Is there a place to post a "hello I'm a noob" greeting?

Been dancing for about two years now, and I'm absolutely loving it! Apparently I have a talent ;)

Charles.

I think a lot of our new members do post and introduction thread....I believe many have been done in the General Dance Discussion forum...
