The Millennium Dancesport Championships are in St. Petersburg, Florida from June 20th-24th with shows from Mirko and Alessia, and Michael and Joanna.

Who is going?

I'm going to spectate on the 23rd and hopefully can make it to the congress on the 24th.

I'm going! Hard training is underway. I've been absent from competitions for a while so I really got a lot to work on. I'm really excited because I think (*fingers and toes crossed*) that the judging panel is really good...a few big names.

I will have a thorough report! I'm borrowing my coach's Olympus EVolt 500 DSLR camera, so hopefully the pictures will come out better this year. He's also going to buy an external flash (yay!!) so editing the pics will hopefully be less of a hassle. I'm getting there late, so I hope the view won't be too bad.

Anybody hear how big this comp is going to be this year? entry wise?, relative to last year?

I think it will be big this year- it's the 10 anniversary and new events have been added. Also, there will be events on Wednesday unlike past years when the dancing started on Thursday.

In Blackpool Michael indicated that he was already at 12,000 entries, so it should be quite big.

I'm pretty easy to spot. Haven't decided what to wear yet but it will either be a leopard print dress or a white dress with big feathered skirt.

Just looked at the heat lists and looks to be a really good competition. I still have a plane ticket to go...but after ignorning my kids most of last weekend, I will probably skip.

Good luck to all who are going - and PLEASE give us some reports as soon as possible.
