We'll get it through.I posted a reply on this thread, that included a link to a Tango Calendar in NYC and a link to the myspace page for a popular milonga in new york city. I posted it twice - each time I got the message that it had been submitted to the moderator, but it never appeared. I checked the FAQ''s for the board & don't think my reply violated any rules. What happened?
Mike Lavocah was an excellent DJ and the floorcraft was good, and people courteous and considerate- irrespective of what style they were dancing; and the range of how people were dancing was wonderful to behold; no factions, just people enjoying themselves.
Dunno what floor you were dancing on, but I got kicked, trodden on, rudely obstructed and cut up too many times for my taste. When exhaustion had cleared the floor it was somewhat better. I like to think that half of my steps should not have to be avoiding incoming threats. While I have experienced worse, I have also experienced much better.
.
Havnt you heard of the Dangerous Sport of "Salmoning": dancing against the line of dance without toucing anyone?

However, I second your comments about the prodigious effort of organisation, and general atmosphere being good. Salute to the DJ for keeping the tunes going from 9-5. So many people lasted the whole night, meaning Michael kept the vibes positive. Generally speaking, everyone was friendly.
