Mommies With Their Children In School

Any suggestions for some great schools in Orange County. Gone school shopping for my little one and am overwhelmed by the decision. Recently looking into Fairmont, Montessori, Hillsborough, Oak Ridge, and a couple of others. Hard to get an idea though since I know very few mommies. Most of my friends are still worrying about partying and what not so they're not too much help in this situation. Or maybe if your not in Orange County, you could shar what helped you decide what school to put your child into..... Thanks

This probably isn't much help, but public schools around here (at least, on the elem. level) are really a pretty good option, so my kids are both in public school. Way back when we were living abroad and needed to have the kids in private schools, I asked around my church and got suggestions there. I was eventually able to enroll my 2 kids with a friend's son and we just kept all three kids together as best we could... granted, they were all in preschool/kindergarten in a different school system, so I wasn't so concerned about keeping them "on track" with American kids....
