Music Quality

There are lots of complaints about the music selections at the studio parties here and I have to agree with them; as long as it's danceable I don't complain though, but feel that they ought to change it around more.

How do you rate the music at your dances?

Since I produce dance parties, at any place that will ALLOW us to do so, it is of utmost importance to have good music! The beginners don't care, they will dance to anything, which is great, and the other folks pretty much go for what sounds good to them- if it is "danceable", if it is the proper tempo at the time(like if they are pooped out they don't want to attempt Micaela or a 5-minute salsa). There was another thread started a couple of days ago regarding someone possibly geting a job as a dj which pretty much covers what you are inquiring about. I will try to unearth it.

It tends to depend on the DJ -- some DJs are consistently good, some are unpredictable (great one week, total flop next), and some are simply hopeless...
