My first comp

So I am taking the plunge and trying out my first pro-am competition in a few weeks, silver level, 4 latin dances, so steps not so challenging but lots of tech to think about. Here are my thoughts and I would love some feedback. This is a test to see how it goes, how I like it and how I react, so no pressure. Here is my list of priorities: 1. Perfect, broken in shoes I can absolutely rely on (done) 2. Beef up cardio so I have lots of energy for jive. 3. Make friend at studio who will attend for moral support and fun (done). 4. Something to wear that is a lot like my favorite practice clothes, just duded up a bit (in process) 3. New pair of favourite nude fishnets 5. Make up and hair, like regular evening out, nothing too crazy, maybe darker base. Friend will help, but we need to practice first. 6. Consider some tanning, wash off options for exposed skin (not necessary and don't wait until the last min). 7. Pedicure. 8. Nails (not necessary and not used to dancing with nails) 8. Jewelry, at least earrings. 9. Make consistent warm up routine. 9. In last week, do daily rehearsals of running order of dances by myself with headphones at slow tempo and gradually increase to comp speed 10. Ice injuries religiously & pack Ibuprofin 11. Make eating/drinking plan for day. Am I forgetting anything? Sorry if this is a duplication of posts, but I can't find anything like it. Wish me luck. I know if we mess up badly, like if I fall over, I am going to laugh. If I mess up a little bit, I will be mad, but really this is my newby comp so I am just trying to focus on the fun.

welcome....we have many many threads for first time comp folks which you might benefit from perusing....brave of you to start with silver...not sure what kind of comp you are doing ...so some of your point are more or less appropriate depending upon exactly what type of comp you are doing
