My First "Magical" Moment!

It was a great moment. The magic happened for the first time in my dancing. So I needed to share it with you all.

Last night my partner and I were practicing with around 10 other couples in the studio. During these sessions they generally play the same dances back to back. So we got 2 waltz in a row. So coming fresh off a private lesson on Wednesday where we worked on our waltz we suddenly found ourselves in the groove. It started with my floorcraft. We were weaving and moving around other couples like pros. By the mid way section of the 2nd waltz everyone had stopped dancing and was just on the sidelines watch us. With the conclusion of the song the look in her eyes as we locked our gazes said everything. We both said the same thing. "WoW, nice!"

As we walked to the side a few guys gave me the high five and two ladies went straight to my partner. What they said to her almost made her cry. "You two were so amazing. We were getting emotional just watching you."

Thanks for taking the time to read my story. What a feeling dancing can give you when it all comes together.
 
And there's more to come, you can bet on it!!!!!!!!!!!!Even sharing this moment with us moved us all and made us all be there with you in our minds.I'm so so so jealous!!!!!!!!!
 
Well ...

That feeling of being in cloud 9 only lasted a few days. lol

Lastnight at a social dance our waltz was back to "normal" (good but no magic). Might have been because the floor was very crowded though. But go figure my standard was poor lastnight but my latin was rockin'. Dance is funny that way.

Savor it when you get it...I find it comes in moments few and far between. LOL.

I have found for me that after one of those "magical moments", I can expect at least three or four days of "blah". I think it's because I want and expect that magical feeling, and the norm just doesn't measure up....
