Well, I must be doing something right up there. Last night, I got a very warm welcome from a group of bellydancers that come in frequently to dance. We sat and talked for awhile, and they all complimented me on my dancing... (kind of awkward in a nice way). And then the instructor asked me if maybe I could come in to her class once or twice and teach the girls some salsa and merengue basics. Haha! It was very cool. That's the first time I've had any kind of request like that.
The neat thing about it is, it's sort of ideal as a first teaching experience, since I don't know how to teach a lead. I can go in and teach Cuban Motion, the basic from the women's perspective, all the turning stuff i figured out yesterday, stuff like that. Then i can take a few of them and be the lead for just the basic, inside right turn and open breaks and stuff... I think it could work just fine.
How about that. I never thought I'd see the day.
