I've got a "new" bike!
My old pink Peugot bought 1983, a 21-gears-sportsbike is now rebuilt to suit my ruptured disc.
It has now got a new steering - the up-right type you find on old bikes for ladies. Sportsteerings is bad for all backs - I wish I had done this many many years ago.
It only cost me 100$ . This includes new handles for the breaks and new wires for controlling them.
Much cheeper than a new bike. Much better performance.
Yesterday evening I had a quick run into town and back. Along the seaside, along the grazing lands. I could feel the smell of the grass and flowers and the sea. I feelt the happiness I did when I ran this bike in old times.
(The sportshop tried to sell me a 3-gearings lady bike. It cost a fortune and there is nothing of happiness-when-biking in such a vehicle. Its is almost like walking
)
For the first time since a year I can now do cardiovascular training off dance floor. :banana:
