Hah, not.

But since everyone is talking about getting together for a ...um...something (meal? post-comp chat session?), I figure we need some way to make it work other than intentions, heh. I find that it usually doesn't happen because of lack of ability to communicate during the comp. Only so many people bring laptops, or even bother to check the boards if they do, and...well that's usually the end of it.

So, I figure phone numbers would be the best way.

So if you're down, pm me your number. Or post it here I guess, but then I'm not responsible for any crazy calls you get at 2am asking if you have carry-out or delivery then quickly ending in a fit of laughter and a dialtone.

(no, I wouldn't, of course)

If there's a vendor that will allow you to put up a simple marker board or a board with post-it-notes, that is a good alternative to having "dance forums at the comp". It's what we horse show people do. Just a board to check in and say "so and so 's here, barn # 5" or "Breakfast at So and So's clubhouse tomorrow, who's bringing what: So and so with napkins, Someone else with gravy," etc. etc. etc.

Handy to have a checkpoint. I'm not sure how it works at dance comps though, as I don't think that there would be tack vendors all around the outside of an arena with a floral judge's stand in the center and a big hunk of plywood running down one side, LOL

I hear you only get an invitation if you showed up at a "regional party" first...

Yup. Or if you missed the regional party, you have to bring a doctor's note.

forge masta? Are you forging doctor's excuse notes? (Or am I totally hopeless at reading these multi-lingual posts?  )

Oh, ThreeStep and I go way back. Longer than either of us have been posting to Dance Forums, I think.

More talk about Forum Fest 2005 and less of the rest.

I kinda remember it Laura, but better if you can just call me or email me or pm me the number you can save me from spending an hour at my phone trying to figure out all the different combinations that are kinda in my head.
