How about punctuation?? It's rude, it's really hard to read anything without punctuation and appropriate capitalization!

Chachacat no offence but no1 else has complained yet, and if you find punctuation such a big thing then shouldnt i comaplin you 4got to put a full stop at the end of your sentence?.

Just because CCCC was the only one to say anything doesn't mean that no one else feels the same way. We have had several threads here on the DF regarding pet peeves, netiquette, etc., and in each and every one the topic of writing has come up.* The same short cuts that make sense (well, at least logisticly speaking) for IM or text messaging are commonly taken to be a lack of concern and/or lazy for any other application, especially given how not-reader-friendly they happen to be.

* Especially at an international site like the DF we realize that we have posters for whom English is not a first language and all the threads mentioned have recognized this caveat. The point is that if you do know better, why wouldn't you? Is it just "cool" not to?

And, so did I, for pouncing on a newcomer like that. I won't do it again. As I told him, most DF'ers are really nice. :)

Sure, you can call me on my typos!
