Need Used Smooth or Standard Gown

I am looking for a standard ballgown, however, smooth dresses will also work. I need them by Feb. I normally wear size 12 clothings. I am looking for anything up to $1000.

Have you checked the legality of full costumes (ie, rhinestones) for the events your are entering?

I think I recall you mentioning you were fairly new to dancing, so even if you have a few unrestricted events, most you enter would probably have restrictions. There's a lot that's been done with nice cuts and colors without involving the expense or "costume" designation of rhinestones. (And you can always buy stones to glue on later yourself)

Hi Chris,
this is actually a costume for my Pro/Am competiton. I am not allowed to wear costume for Am/Am yet, but my teacher said that I should wear costume for Silver Pro/Am because everyone else wears it......

I have this GORGEOUS dress that is a bargain at $600 ( aformer pros dress as I was told), but I don't think it would fit. i've never been able to wear it. :(

That's exactly the situation I was expecting, hence the suggestion for something that is showy enough to go up against costumes, but technically doesn't have the characteristics (rhinestones, feathers, possibly non-removeable floats) that would ban it from restricted events. There have recently been a number of fairly simple dresses showing up in high level events, so it's a viable path even for those who have no longer have any concern about trying to meet costume rules.

hum....if 6~10 is the case, there might be a possibility depending on the actual measurements of the dress.....I am planning on losing some weight and drop to a 10 by Feb, and HOPEFULLY an 8 sometime next year...it all depends on how it goes.....but i will let you know if that's the case! :D
