Hello, My name is Kenny and I like Dancing. :nope:

I just started taking lessons @ Arthur Murray here in SA at the beginning of May. first time I have ever danced in my life. I have to say I surprised myself, I had no clue that it would be and is as fun as it is. only bad part is I waited 49 years to find out how much I enjoy dancing. I discovered Dance-forums while looking for videos on Dance, browsed for a while, then joined. anywho, Just wanted to say Hi, and I enjoy the forums, and I look forward to learning.

Hi OleCoot, welcome here ! Took my first step ever on the the dance floor at the age of 46. But from that on almost every second day (every night in my first year). What kind of dances are you learning?

Welcome to DF, Kenny! It's gotta be hot (and humid) in San Antonio these days! What better place to get away from that heat than being in a dance studio. (Other than the movies for me!) :)

thanks for the warm welcome.. :)

Opendoor, I am taking pretty much all they offer right now. but the ones I am concentrating on are Rumba, Foxtrot, Bachata, Waltz, Country Two Step, Salsa, Tango, and Country Waltz. I have had a cpl lessons in West Coast Swing, but for some reason my feet liked to go the opposite way..I just have to work harder on that one. In reality, I'd like to learn as many as I can and be good in them all. for some reason I am having more trouble with two step than I have with Bachata. and the triple step was killing me till last night, I was on the back porch for for a long time working on that.. I'm a work in progress..and I have a long way to go, but I'm loving every minute of it. My Instructor wants me to do the showcase Dance @ the end of July. I told her I'd think about it. I'm not so sure I'm ready for that just yet..
