I just heard about this new album coming out and I listend to it on the SavoyJazz website. This Rebop album takes cool jazz songs and has Djs remix them.

On the topic raised, though, I've heard some other music samples on NPR recently that I found interesting as well -- Sergio Mendes collaborating with a whole bunch of contemporary non-Brasilian samba artists on his latest CD, for example. It's an interesting time, in the music world. Lots of cross-genre stuff going on.
