I just got my last order from rhinestoneguy, and I bought two gross of the new stones in 30ss hematite. They are beautiful!

does anyone have experience with using the 2088's added to a dress with 2058 and 2028 stones? is the difference significant enough to matter...usually it seems variation in sparkle power is a good thing, but just wondering...i'm planning on adding ~ 30% more stones to a dress (evenly placed), not sure if i should match the older stones or go for the different faceting on the 2088's, which looks beautiful in the pictures...

If they are going to be evenly spaced and not clumped in one region of the dress (barring clumping them on a design element) I think it will be ok. I believe them noticeably sparklier, but if it's well spread out it'll be ok.

I'm getting a new dress done and we're using mostly 2088s with the glacier blue coating... I about threw up when i saw they're almost twice as expensive as regular 2058s, but man, are they beautiful!!!

Where are you buying from?! The place I get them from they are no more than a dollar more per gross for the 2088s.

Zero lead content? Anyone know what they are made of?

thanks mindputtee & miss silly! there is a small to moderate price difference at dreamtime creations for what i need, 4% to 11%, depending on quantity and size....
the new faceting looks simply amazing in the photos, can't wait so see and use them...

Sorry, it's actually the glacier blue coating and maybe limited edition? (the colors I'm using are meridian glacier blue and capri blue glacier blue) that I think makes them more expensive - from dreamtime crystal AB is 11.67 and the capri is $24.35!!! ugh! That's why we're mixing them in.

What size are you looking at? I'm not seeing those big price differences for equal stones in capri or crystal glacier blue at dreamtime.

Like I said... I think the difference is really the special glacier blue coating for the capri and meridian blue

Ohh! I was looking at crystal glacier blue, capri blue, and meridian blue separately not as a coating on the capri blue. In all honesty, there's probably another stone that approximates that color and effect that will be half as expensive. Which means you can put twice as many on!
