I have just moved to New York from Minnesota with my 10 year old daughter. We have taken ballroom and latin lessons for about a year now and my daughter loves it. I would like to know if anyone knows a good dancing school i can find in New York preferably in Brooklyn. Thank you for any suggestions :D

I'm not sure, but I regularly have Ieva Pauksena come to coach in my school. She is around that area, and she is great with kids. Goodluck

Thank you very much for the suggestion but i was leaning more towards a school thats well known with many kids so my daughter can relate and look up.

Victor Kanevsky has a school in Brooklyn that's known to have a lot of kids. I think Eugene and Maria teach at one of his schools. I don't have a first hand knowledge of the school though.

Yep, one of the best training programs in the country (if not the best) right there waiting for your daughter.

I seem to hear a lot, i've already called and planning to take my daughter there monday. I've been talking to a dance mom and she mentioned a studio Dance Passion whose location is very comfortable for me. Anybody know a thing or two about it ?

Rising Stars is a bit out of my way. My working schedule wouldn't work well if i took my daughter. Thats a shame though because i think Valentin and Valeriya are a wonderful couple. I enjoy watching them tremendously.

But i would like to know what known couples represent Dance Passion.

I know that Dance Passion produces a pretty good number of very good junior/youth couples, so it is definitely a good place.

another studio to check out is Kings Dancesport, located near kings highway Q train station. This is one of the most established kids studios.
Main latin coach there is Roman Nabatov, and other teachers they hire are always good (i know a lot of teachers and former teachers there).

there are plenty of other kids studios in Brooklyn, and i think most of them are good and have good environment. the bigger ones are all good. so you might as well try the most convinient one. In the future it is quite possible your daughter would switch studios (even maybe more than once) due to a partner being from a different studio.. but that's probably a while from now, and also there is nothign wrong with that.
