Hey, it worked against Noriega, didn't it? Just wasn't Mariah Carey that was used. Something akin to the opinion that we probably wouldn't have used the A-bomb against the Germans.
Disclaimers:
Just repeating a historian's opinion that our war-time propaganda had dehumanized the Japanese more than it had the Germans, mainly because the cultural and ethnic differences were much greater, and so the decision to drop the Bomb on Japan came more easily. Of course, we will never know the public's reaction to dropping the Bomb on Nazi Germany, because Germany had surrendered before the Bomb was ready to be used against them.
Also, I am not expressing any personal opinion of Mariah Carey's singing or music, since I am not at all familiar with anything that Carey has sung. I have also never heard a Madonna song, though I can spot a Shaquira song from a mile away.
