NJ Dancesport Summer Sizzler?

being petite myself, it breaks my heart to see something like this happen. of course i've seen it before with other people, so it's not a complete surprise. but it reminds me once again how disadvantaged we are in standard.

of course pasha and inna are doing great, as well as many many others. so small couples are not doomed
 
Yeah, except any mistakes tall couples make are magnified ten-fold whereas those mistakes are not seen nearly as easily on short couples. So all of us have obstacles to overcome;)

It really does suck to hear about Daniel and Anastasia - they're a very good couple, much better than some who made the final...

Yes, but I don't remember D+A having quite the amount of movement that P+I have. That could be what was their downfall in getting lost amongst everyone else.

I watched the videos last night and counted seven red dresses in this event. Anastasia had one of them. It took me until foxtrot to make a clear id on them...and they looked wonderful, as usual. But, they were in they second heat which was kind of monopolized by the big dogs. As far as being small, there were two "small" couples in the final. In an small venue, I can't imagine that it is as much of an issue. They did very well in youth and placed 2nd.

?? It looked red on the video and it looked red at BYU. COuld be orangish though. It definitely blended in with the other reddish dresses in that heat. And yours was definitely a darker shade...yours looked good on the floor. Ignore the vampire comments. You and Alex looked very good.
 
It's orange, maybe with a shade of red.

Mine is a lot deeper than any other reds there.. I love the dress, so don't care about the vampire comment.. or perhaps I can use it to my advantage by scaring other competitors away.. easier floorcraft :)
