I am trying to decide if I should go to the competition or not. Last 2 years it was really tiny. On one hand they chrge really high entry fee even for competitors ($75 to enter the evening session per person plus entry fees). On the other hand they are offering a scholarship..

Does anyone plan to attend?

I almost always find that previous years' entries are the best guidelines unless something really unusual happens, like a venue change or a date change.

My general impression has been over the years that entries to comps do not change radically from one year to the next but often grow or decline more predictably over time, except in extraordinary cases.

And I have found that even when comps do make a big leap upward in entries in one year, it's usually as part of a momentum that's been building for a few years. Rarely do comps that have been muddling along suddenly explode with entries.

That seems to be accurate. Just trying to make up my mind about this particular one. If it wasn't so ridicuously expensive, we would definitely go.. But right now, not so sure...

The $75 includes dinner
Without dinner it's $30 on Friday and $35 on Saturday.
