not remembering the followers you danced with previously.

I went dancing last night, and I was surprised because when I invited some girls to dance, who I thought I was inviting for the first time, I was met with sentences like "hi since last time", or "Hi, Tiago", etc... it was obvious that they remembered me and my name, and I didn't.
1. Why does this happen, I even thought I had good memory?! Is it normal, or a bad sign?

Once I had a promised a dance to someone I'd met at a few dances and corresponded with over email in between. I was helping at the DJ table at a dance and saw her come in, so I arranged a break, ran across the dimly lit room, and dragged out onto the floor... someone dressed similarly.
 
Well, now that you mention it alst Tuesday night I ask soemoen to dance and she says thatw e met at danec class over teh summer and she was a horrible dancer and didn't I remember that. To my mortification I couldn't remember her, but I brushed that off with, "How coudl that be, if I unconsciously came over unknowingly and asked you?..." or something like that.
 
At this once a month dance, I met this very nice woman. All month I was looking forward to dancing with her again. Finally the month ended and the dance came. I didn't see her anywhere so I assumed she had not come. So after a while I asked someone dance, had a wonderful dance with her, asked her her name, and I realized it was the woman I had been looking for. In my defense the previous month she had been sporting cleavage. And even though I never directly looked, apparently that was all my brain saw. :roll:
 
I can't say it has happened to me... I have got similar looking faces confused before, but I usually remember the face of people I've danced with (even though I often struggle to remember WHERE I danced with them before). Remembering names is another matter altogehter... :oops:
 
well about a month ago i was taking a short break from dancing and some woman came over and said "would you like another dance". i was thinking i havnt even danced with you.
this was the same night and i didnt even remember who i danced with.

ps. first long sentence :lol: :lol:

Man, I hate that. Happens waaayyy to often. I'm not good with faces at all. :cry:

So often I think to myself. Okay, she looks like that, her name is so and so. I will not forget her. Then, next time I see her, a few months later, I embarass myself all over againg. And I feel so like a jerk too, I feel like other people must think that i just don't care. But I do, I really do! :cry:
 
I don't forget the faces of women I danced with. Now a dude I talked to during the night I would forget immediately after we talked. :lol:
 
Remebering dance partners

I have a hard enough time remembering my own name, and its really bad for me especially trying to remember who said "no" to me...I never remember, as hard as I try, and I get puzzled looks when I go up to the same woman who said no to me earlier and ask again....every once in awhile I will remember a follower for two reasons: 1) She is hot, 2) she is a good follower....To be honest I think I remember #2 more than #1....if i remeber at all.... :)
 
Oddly enough this has never happened to me. I have a photographic memory and can remember a followers face, what they wore, where and when we danced, their perfume, hair style and many other details. :o

I do forget names on occasion...mainly since the music is so loud I can't always hear what people are saying. :roll: :lol:

And of course the dances...good or bad, I never forget them. :wink:
