Thread for this year's Ohio...I am once again thinking about taking the dance camps, since i am going to spectate. Any reviews of that? worth the money?

I literally just got the emailFYI, there's now additional info about the 2015 OSB Dance Camp on both the OSB web site and Facebook page.
Looks like I'll be going to friday and saturday camps, since i'll be leaving after rising star rhythm on sunday. if any other DF'ers are there, let me know! would love to meet ya!

Going for the collegiate portion- Crossing my fingers I can magically find a lead for silver smooth or bronze or silver standard while there, but I'll be leading no matter what, like pretty much all comps this school year. Did not luck into a partner like I did last year. Amateur collegiate partners who already know how to dance don't grow in the fields here, unfortunately.

I find myself torn between excitement for the competition (on the pro-am side of things, I'm regrettably too old for the college stuff) and frank alarm at how close it is.

From what I got from the description, it's across the hall on the same side as the bathrooms, where one of the comic or cheer conventions usually is. So close but the Grand Ballroom is under construction (which hopefully means it'll be awesome next year).
What days will you be there, Jude? I know the pro-am schedule is spread out through the week (I think?).

I'll be dancing Wednesday and Thursday (including Thursday evening, eep!), but won't be heading home until the following Monday.

You're getting a chance to spectate Friday and Saturday evening, right? Those nights were the highlight of my collegiate trip (though they made dancing the first event the following morning a little rough).

Does anyone know how to get spectator tickets for Friday and Saturday night? I feel like it may be too late. HELP

The website says you can buy them at the door. Friday should be no problem. Saturday is more likely (but not that likely) to sell out?

I can only speak to last year, but the ballroom did not appear to be sold out Saturday night. They had to move a lot of people up from the stadium seating to the floor level so that it looked full on TV. But I don't know if that was just no-shows, or what.
It actually should be no problem to get them at the door, be prepared that it may be a cash only ticket purchase. The three different times I hav been to OSB and attended shows as well for both those evenings it wasn't a problem and we had excellent seats.
