I know this may seem to be a bit last minute but..... I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA HOW TO DO A BACKWARDS LEAP! I was shown it today but i couldn't get the jist of it. From what i've seen, it seems you start out like a side leap but twist your leg? If any one has any pointers at all please tell me!!!! PLEASE!!!! I'm desperate!!!!

What kind of a backwards leap? And by backwards, do you mean you're going back and then leaping? If so, what kind of a leap? Saut de chat? Switch leap? Grand jete? Stag leap?

Best advice I can give you is to just try, try, and try.

i know what you are talking about, i think... sort of like a backward grand jete??? if so, the you are right...start out as if you are doing a side leap but push your leg as far back as possible, alot of people make the mistake of turning it into an attitude jump though...

hope i have helped...

while on the subject of steps...has anyone heasd of a twist attitude leap???

apparently you gallop then do an attitude leap, but turn when you are in the air, the preparation is that of a pirroette... i dont get it...
