Osvaldo Zotto died :(

It is very terrible, sad, and hard to believe. When I first heard the news, I didn't believe it, and didn't want to post about it on any forum until I knew it was true...

These sort of things remind me to live every moment to the fullest. You just never know. :(

Osvaldo Zotto (1963-2010) died because of a heart attack.

Oh, that is a shame. A great loss indeed...and not only to the world of tango.

I am hearing/reading of so many passings including one of my ex-tango students. I received the news at Christmas. A wonderful guy in his 30s who literally just keeled over whilst out cycling on his bike in London. Life so precious/death so certain. Lest we forget.

Doesn't necessarily matter if he did or didn't. My father didn't smoke or drink, and yet still had a similar thing happen. (Of course, he was stressed beyond belief...and he didn't die.)

When older people have heart attcks they have a better chance of surviving, because the heart tends to grow secondary arteries, which allows them to survive. The same heart attack in a younger person is usually fatal, on account of those arteries not having been formed. ...at least that's the explanation I've been hearing for years...

One of the most famus milonga dancers Omar Vega had died in 2008 because of a heart attack too and he was only 49 years old.

Two years gone by... rest in peace dear Osvaldo... you are loved and you are in our hearts...
