Participation inequality

Oh yeah and on topic, more or less, as is the TA forum, as is life. When I've been in charge of or participated in various things through the years, the 90-9-1 rule seems to have applied to most things that involved taking initiative or making effort. When I ran a volunteer organization that had 350 - 400 members, about a handful did the bulk of the work, with another two dozen or so pitching in when we had big projects or crazy deadlines.

Such is life, I think.

It is kind of interesting to see things analyzed that way, though. And, when you consider that the demographics are already pretty skewed because DF is an online forum such as it is, it looks like those of us who are "prolific posters" on DF are a pretty ... unusual group. Eh. There are worse things, I suppose. *shrug*
