Posts per page...

This is just a friendly reminder. Since I see so many people talking about threads that are soooo many pages...

You can go to "User CP", "Edit Options", and "Show Number of Posts Per Page", and change it to as high as 40. This makes a single page slighly longer to load, but you don't have to go to new pages so often (every 10 posts by default).

I've had my posts per page set at 40 for as long as I can remember and I just wanted to share in case some folks didn't know...!
 
I got annoyed at the 10 per page within the few couple of days of joining, so I went looking for the option to increase the posts/page. I found it, and am not going back anytime soon, loading an infinite number of pages is annoying.

I'm only reminded of 10 being the default because people say things like "on page 21 ..." and I'm like.... "wait, this thread only has 6 pages..." :-)
 
am gonna try this and see how my blackberry likes it... wondering if it will be extra-laborious to load pages. we'll see...
 
hmmm, actually, am thinking my BB won't like it...or rather, my *fingers* won't...due to the need to scroll, scroll, scroll much further down the pages to see the last post.

yah, i'm not even gonna check. switching the config back to 10 posts/page. better for my purposes, since i'm often remote. honestly, i think i like the idea of having fewer posts on a page, anyway.
 
so far I still mostly on desktop for DF so I set 40 per page, then when I click on "last page", without reading, 1st thing I do is hit the "page down" button 3 times
