Potential dance partner is slightly taller than me

@opendoor

No. I do appreciate your opinions and I wish I knew how to learn dance at socials for free but it just doesn't gel in my mind. It would be great if someone can actually show me how that works.

For me, it takes multiple lessons with a private instructor just to learn a certain sequence of steps for a particular dance. I'm just slow like that.

Male lead here. I think I've finally found someone compatible to be a future dance partner. We've danced together numerous times and I think mutually, we both feel there's a good connection. However, she's a bit taller than me. I'd say by 2 inches. It's not a huge disparity but it is obvious that she's slightly taller.
We want to specialize in smooth dances with close connection.

How much does this matter in dance when it comes to aesthetics when the male lead is slightly shorter?

Btw, everything else pans out in terms of body shape, weight and stuff. She's quite thin and I'm fit and reasonably athletic.

Sorry for the superficiality of this post but I feel like with dance, a large part of it is aesthetics.

My first pro was about two inches shorter...while not ideal... was also not a big deal... wouldn't let it deter you
