Im after some slow Cha Chas in paticular, Also some slow Sambas and Quicksteps

Any Ideas? They dont have to be conventional..anything goes!

Interesting what people will post. I have a CD full of... well, crappy music that people can dance to. The following list is NOT on them.

Cha-Cha: I get nostalgic when "Guantanamera" with Celia Cruz comes on.

Strangely enough, many of the tunes Purr lists are WCS tunes on my list. In Da Club by 50 cent is definitely a WCS to me.

If the Dance With Me soundtrack is now out, I gotta listen to it. Thanks.

The tempo is such that it's something that I practice the samba basic steps to.

"Guantanamera" by Celia Cruz that etchuck mentioned is a good slow cha cha and is available on the Mambo kings soundtrack. I heard the song "Free Xone" by Janet Jackson a few days ago and I thought it could be danced as a slow cha cha, but I only heard the song once and so I could be mistaken about that.

You can also get plug-ins for programs like winamp that allow you to change the tempo of songs. Look for something called "chronotron" or "pacemaker" also for the MAC there is "amazing slow downer" or something like that. The sound quality suffers a bit when you get really slow, but you can achieve any tempo you want, or 'fix' a recording that you like but is too far from your preferred tempo.
