What is the current average rate per dance in the competition that Professional teacher charges in Tri- state area, when Professional teacher dances Pro- AM with a kid in Junior/ youth categories. Obviously the rate depends on Pro teachers accomplishments, but let’s assume it’s a “regular” Pro teacher.
Thank you.

I don't think you'll have much luck getting that info here. It's not like teachers advertise their pricing.

If you mean the price to go to a competition, that is calculated in so many different ways by different teachers and studios. Sometimes it is by the day, sometimes by the number of heats. Sometimes a combo of both. Sometimes in a package with other expenses included. Some discount for youth and some don't. It's a pretty complex question. If you mean for lessons, it is also a pretty big range depending on your area. I'd say $50-150 per lesson

I don't think the typical per dance fee is any different for kids than for adults. Typically the pro is an adult so it's not like the service is different. You could look through pro am competition cost threads to see what that price is like for adults.

It might be less or zero for mixed amateur if the partner is just being a partner and is not really an instructor.

In the end, all that matters is what the pro(s) your kid(s) is/are working with charges. It doesn't matter what other pros charge, unless you are contemplating changing pros.

Ask the pro(s) your kid is working with how they charge for competitions and take it from there. If your kid works with multiple pros that they might want to do pro/am with, ask each of them about this. Have these conversations well in advance of any competition.

Alternately, ask around with other parents at a local competition when you see other kids doing pro/am. See if they are willing to fill you in on how their pros charge for competitions to give you an idea.

I'm in the NY area and my studio charges me a studio fee of $50 per dance. I don't know how much of this goes to the pro (teacher) but I believe $30-40 per dance goes to the teacher. Hopefully closer to $40 because they deserve it!
