hey, can anyone tell me what a lot of the pros put on their legs to make them look...almost plastic? I can tell the tanning, and sometimes the bit of oil, but there must be a specific product that creates that sheen than makes them look- like Barbie legs. Anyone know what it is?

This is the stuff that gives that coating? I've seen a ton of leg makeup/shimmer stuff- that doesn't melt, that's supposed to be just for dancers. But they use this instead, huh? Good to know. I'm debating breaking the unwritten fishnet rule and wanted to try some stuff out.

Yep, I got my Aery Jo from a pro latin dancer. It's good stuff, best way for me to get tanned and not orange fast. Everything you touch that day (costume, bath towel, partner, small children, pets) will be covered in fine gold glitter though. You've been warned.

One of my studio-mates says there's a glitter-free version. Haven't followed up because the SH is fine for me.

I'm going to try getting a spray tan and topping my legs up with sally Hansen and see how it goes
For those that don't need the tan- but still want the shiny bronzed look- in other words- those of us that are already brown- would this work too?

It's essentially a foundation, so it'll turn you that color plus glitter regardless of what your starting skin tone is, pretty sure.
It does rub off some, though I usually am bad and don't let it dry long enough before getting dressed. It's been pretty good about washing out of stuff so far IME though because it's more like a foundation than a stain.I like glitter

With the sally Hansen is it better to get the tan or the deep? I'm very pale so even win a tan I'm limited to how dark I can go

I'm super-pale and use the lightest shade. It matches my 3-4 coats of tanner perfectly, and helps even out any imperfections on my back.
If I were dancing only latin and going a little darker than normal, at most I'd go for the medium shade. The darkest one is really dark.
