So it looks like the Paramanovs are retiring. Embassy and USDC are their last events.

I actually do love them, and it was because I saw them live at a Comp, and I saw how Andre treated his pro-am students and he was wonderful to them.

Apparently at DBDC Jess Mae and Francesco beat them. But the Paramonovs still won Embassy.

Anyways, I need new Rhythm people to follow. Who are your other favorites?

I still remember the drama when paramonovs switched to rhythm! Personally, not a fan of their style at all, not even since they were Latin.

I love Dmitry and Olena Nikishkin, because I’m a fan of power/speed dancers, but they seem to have…stagnated a bit.

Jessa Mae and Francesco Arietta are excellent.

Honestly pro rhythm is a bit of a hot mess right now.

Shane and Shannon Jensen are always on top 6, I am also not a fan of them. Their cabaret is amazing tho. Oleg Pigotsky and his partner look good gmtohether, and they’re doing really well in 9-dance/smooth.

there is another Latin couple that just turned to rhythm and… I mean they are good dancers, but their bolero looks like some weird stilted mess of int’l rumba and bolero basics. Ummm. I think that couple is Ivan and Kseniya.
Gene and Elena Bersten aren’t too bad- they are winning rising star and coming up in opens.

that’s all I can honestly recommend. :/ not thrilled with the state of pro rhythm right now.
 
I have liked Dmitry and Olena Nikishkin for a while now. It has been nice to watch them progress but with Jessa and Francesco now I am not sure they will be able to have a ride at the top. I like Shane and Shannon but I think they have too many tricks in their choreography. I like David Nyemchuk and Maysen from Rising Star. Also, my pro/teacher and his wife...they aren't placing super high (yet) but I love them so if you see Iurii Kora and Alisa Hryn, cheer for them!
 
JessaMae has been a favorite of mine for a while. Love her, and very happy to see that she is having such success with her new partner. I too love the speed and power of the Nikishkins. I like the young couple that has been winning the FADS nationals from Lakewood Ranch Fl, Kevin and Milagros.

But I think rhythm really needs a big shot in the arm right now. Latin is just more exciting to follow because the level of dancing is just off the charts.

Oh I forgot about Kevin and Milagros!! Their mambo and swing are amazing. I’m hoping they can bring their other dances up, because they have such a great style.
 
I am a fan of Dmitry and Olena Nikishkin, but they need a change to get to the top. I am all about speed and power, but right now they need to rethink their routines. I hope they have a good coaching team working with them to help make a change. Kevin and Milagros have a great mambo, but otherwise I am not fan.

Agree about the Paramonov's. I never cared for their latin or rhythm. They depend too much on being Natalie being sexy, however they have a reputation for being very kind and gracious people. I am happy that they won Worlds and hope they are able to retire on top.

I do like JessaMae, very slick and controlled. She and her partner looked like they were working too hard at Embassy, so I didn't think it was their best performance. The Jensen's are wonderful in cabaret, but they bring too much of that to rhythm. Love the enthusiasm of Gene Bersten, he always looks like he is having a great time and it adds to the performance.

I have never been a fan of hair down and being whipped around. Just my personal preference.
