I have heard the same phrase in two different songs by Puerto Rican Power:

"me vuelvo un ocho"

Does anyone know what that means? I know what it means literally, but it must be an idiom with another meaning.

I turn a figure 8 = get all confused, messed up. What's the context?

oh, ok... I guess that sorta makes sense. In this case it might mean that a particular woman puts him in a "tizzy" because he's so attracted to her.

I only remember the full line from one of the two songs....

"me vuelvo un ocho, y si me tocas, me vuelvo loco"

Noobster's right, it means to get flustered, messed up, etc. The exact meaning will depend on the context.

For example, if you have a friend that doesn't handle stress very well and loses his/her composure over minor things, you could say that he/she "se vuelve un ocho" (another saying could be "ahogarse en un vaso de agua", literally-- to drown in a glass of water)

Or maybe, if you liked someone and that person happened to come up to you and you suddenly became tongue-tied or flustered, you could say "me volví un ocho."

So these are just some examples of how it can be used. Hope this helps.
