Question.

So anyway, I THINK I have good rhythm. I also think When I'm drunk I hold the rhythm from the last song because I stop paying attention. Not good, I know - I'll try and be more conscious of it.

I also think, because I'm 6'3 and only 180 lbs. (lean), that I'm subconciously uncomfortable with moving too much. My feet are so far down there, so my first question is should I have my feet slightly wider apart than my shoulders?
I feel if my feet are close together because it's crowded, that my movement is very restricted! Keep in mind this is a club scene I'm talking about here: dance and hip-shop music, namely.

Quit drinking while dancing. Bad for coordination.

Good for confidence, though. :P

Then decide whether you want "confidence" or good coordination. Unfortunately, until you have inner confidence, there will be a trade-off between the alcohol and your coordination. Besides, what is that saying? Drunk people often think they are better dancers than they really are ;)

Other option? Don't drink to the point where you are drunk. Have half or one drink and try and limit yourself thereafter oh, and get some dance classes to help you gain that inner confidence.

You may find that unless she really, really, REALLY likes you or is also drunk herself, no girl will want to dance with you. Also, in my youth ;) I had a policy whereby if a guy I liked indicated that he also liked me after having had a few too many, he never get to first base with me. Cruel? Yes. In my opinion, anyone can say/do anything under the influence of alcohol... and then blame it on the alcohol yawn. Stone cold sober (okay, perhaps one drink), now that is what I like!
