I saw Bring It On yesterday. It's a Kirsten Dunst movie. It had two sections in it which were supposed to be "swing". Too bad all they could come up with was a stunt. The swing-related stunt they did was the one where the follow's entire body is sent horizontal around the leader's back. That's all there was in two different scenes.
In another Kirsten Dunst movie called The Cat's Meow, the character who owned the boat yells something like "Let's do Charleston!" to the whole dinner table. So everyone got up, jogged to the dance floor, and didn't do Charleston. One thing I did like about this movie though is that one of the characters said "Manners are for waiters and bellboys. Artists and writers are exonerated from such impractical behavior".
I haven't seen that Richard Geere movie yet. Did swing get the axe in that movie too?
