Reverse T-stance

I do enjoy it when I'm held in a reverse T-stance (woman facing away from man), but I need a few explicitly described things to do while i'm there. I can SuzieQ in place, do somebody rolls and stuff... can you share some shines for this postition?

Thespina, are you back to back with the guy? I'm trying to get a better idea of this position before I suggest any shines.

No. We're both facing the same direction and i'm being held out in front with my arms outstretched. (Nice time for some sexy hip action... ;) )

Ah yes...I often find myself in such a position ;) . Anyway the key is for me to shine without adding too much arm tension (my instructor's words are finally sinking in I guess!) so I do usually go with a the suzyqs or body rolls and stay close to my partner. (In advance, I dance on2, so I would have to think about how to translate this to on1.) With the suzyq's you can vary them by doing the regular crossover, or turn your knees so you look like you're crossing over (but you're really not). You can also exaggerate the height by reallly lifting the leg and pointing the toe, or you can try toes pointing front to exaggerate the hips. A rocking suzyq is also fun-right leading, do a mambo (rock front back-but to the left) (beats 1-4) and suzyq as normal (beats 5-8). Repeat left leading.
My instructor just taught us a great footwork class out of pure necessity (almost none of the guys showed up). There was something called the lead change which I've never tried yet in this position but it could work. Starting with your T-stance, right foot taps front on beat 1 and back on beat 2 (let your foot cross over front and back). On 3, your weight is held on that back foot , left heel comes up. Doing it once would leave you on your count, twice on the guys count, so to get stay on women's count-do it in odd multiples (1, 3) (5 might be a bit much!) Crossovers also might work well here. One mini-shine you could do (8 counts) crossover times (right left right) step together and drop to the floor on 4 roll up (hips) 5-8. You can also do a samba step (1 and 2 and 3 and 4) and hit the body roll on 5-8. The reverse body roll would be a little impressive, because most women (at least that I've seen), haven't mastered them very well.
Hope this helps!

LoL... ah yes. I had forgotten it was called a Titanic. I wonder what it was before James Cameron every got to it?
