I'd also try using a qtip with some acetone and see if the stones are just dirty from years of hairspray etc and if that shines them up.

If the definition of "Korean" is "plastic," then these aren't Korean. They're some type of glass or something. I was at USDC yesterday and scoped out Preciosa, and those stones were very clear and bright, unlike these, up close. And the ss30s I think are regular crystal, and the ss20s I think are some type of CAB.
@twnkltoz, I don't care about what things look like up close, but I do need to fill in the gaps where stones are missing. And I'd like to do it with comparable stones. That's all. If I cared about "brand names" I'd pick them all off and start over!

Yep, they look to me like they're just dirty. You can see by the clean cut of the facets that they aren't very cheap stones, cheaper stones will be more rounded and not have the nice sharp edges and flat "tables" to the facet which is what give you good sparkle.
ETA: It's also likely that they're an older cut of swarovski. The older cuts were more flat and the newer cuts are more pointed. Clean them up and then see how the swarovski looks next to them.

I have a previously loved dress from Europe with a mix of Swarovski and something that looks pretty much exactly like your pics. It's not an older Swarovski cut (too many side facets) but still nice crisp edges. I am curious what they are as well.

I bought a used dress that had stones in much the same condition. I gave the whole dress a bathtub wash and let dry, pulled off the loose stones, took a rubbing alcohol dipped q-tip to the remaining stones (most of which shined-up nicely), then replaced missing ones with 2058s, because I had them on hand. Yes, they're shiner, and up close you can tell the difference... but anyone who is looking at my dress from less than 6 inches away deserves what they get.
OP, you may find that the precosias are closer in look. The older swarovskis (2000s and 2028s) are getting really difficult to find, especially in a common colour/size like CAB ss20. The newer precosias look a lot like these older models - the CAB coating is slightly different, but it shouldn't be a problem. Plus, for rehabbing an older dress, they're cheaper

LOL this means I wasn't looking closely enough at the pic
I'll have to count the side facets on the dress that I have - there was more than 12.... I still have a lot of 2028's and they don't look anything like them.

That's exactly what I ordered!
Washing it tonight, hoping to shine up what's left later in the week. Praying to the gods of colorfastness to be kind....
