Riccardo and Joanne have ended their partnership!!

Wow.....that was unexpected and expected at the same time. Joanne's a fabulous dancer and partners Riccardo beautifully (it's not easy partnering with such a high caliber dancer) but, she is I believe quite a bit older than the other girls. Not saying that age should matter but maybe she just wants to move on to other things in life. I think I'll miss her loads. She's so strong and feminine at the same time and that's a really hard balance to find in a female latin dancer. Her partnership with Riccardo shows off Espen's choreography and teaching to the max.

I guess Riccardo is still intent on competing. Wonder who he'll partner next. KARINA SMIRNOFF!!!! Is it possible? Beata's taken. Hmmmm......Oksana Nikiforova??? Does anyone have a whiff of news to share? I really want to see Riccardo back on the floor. He's such a great competitor.

This was in the making for a while, as Riccardo has been trying out with some ladies, including from the US.
I would not be surprised if a really, really interesting new partnership emerges out of this, and one with a heck of a good chance of moving even higher in the ranks. But of course you never know. And i'll keep my mouth shut till something official is announced.
