RIP Paul Newman

I don't care abouth his movies that he acted in, perhaps a little about the ones he directed. I care more about his philoanthropic work. Ya know, here is a guy who could have been a real jerk. Instead he took his money and his time and did something positive with it. It is a real lesson in selflessness and giving for all of us.

100% agree. Never a fan of his acting, but there's some chocolate bars he makes....:)

I adored him in "The Hudsucker Proxy." I think I'll go watch it this morning.

"Sure sure...."

I could watch Butch Cassidy and The Hustler over and over. And yes, of course, his good deeds were more of a legacy to the world at large. And I really admire that he and Joanne Woodward were a Hollywood couple that made it. I love his comment about having a steak at home vs. a hamburger out.

Great racer too. Co-owned an Indy Racing League team which was very successful during the CART years. Drove a second-place finishing car at the 24 Hours of Le Mans once, and won the GT division of the 24 Hours of Daytona (with NASCAR's Mark Martin as a co-driver) in 1995.

RIP to a talented, gracious, and generous spirit. He will be missed.

....and oh.....those blue eyes........
