Salary for newly graduated Engineers in Seattle?

pr

Hi, I hope that someone can give me some information... :D

I want to know about the average salary in Seattle (and/or in the whole USA) for newly graduated engineers with a master's degree. Also, do you know if it differs between universities and private held companies, and if so, how much?

I think that figures for Electrical Engineers are most relevant to me. If you have figures about sound and vibration it would be nice too.

Thanks! 8)

Thanks, I have seen it but I don't like to enter my email address. ;) I have found some other pages too, but I want to know what information that I have found that is correct. Also, I want to know if it differs between universities and private held companies. First hand information is the best information... 8)

pr,

The page on Joe's link had a link to average entry level salaries:
http://www.engineersalary.com/entry.asp

In the fine print, those numbers are national average, and are for B of S. Add 7-10% for Masters.

EETimes does an annual salary survey, which include a breakdown by major regions. Unfortunately, I can't find a link.

Are you thinking of getting work in USA?

Thanks, I recognize some numbers but I think it is more interesting to break them down by region as you say.

Yes, I'm thinking about working in USA and I have met someone already. ;) Hopefully it will become reality. :D

salary.com gives salaries by region. Tend to be a bit high in my industry (least, based one what everyone I've talked to about it has said for years), but still gives you some idea

pr,

Apparently Seattle is a high "cost of living" area. Housing cost is 88% greater than national average, according to a cost of living calculator I was using.
