Salsa classes in NYC

Eddie & Maria Torres do some excellent classes and you can buy a number of classes in one go, making it overall, slightly cheaper than buying them individually.

I recommend you give Karisma a Try on Saturdays, Ladies styling w/jennifer starts at 330pm (shes amazing) then partnerwork follows w/Victor. Cost is $20 to do both classes or $15 for 1.

If you want cheap but very high quality then go for the little-known Hector Pena, google for him and you'll find out when he's teaching.

i echo what OneCent says about Karisma especially for ladies' styling with Jennifer - she was my teacher and i think she's one of the best stylists in the city. the partnerwork classes at Karisma can be spotty but it's worth the trip up there to work with her.

If you're really a salsa fiend, you should just go straight to Eddie Torres' classes - it's the heart of the on-2 style and the classes are extremely high-energy and well-attended. You won't get a lot of personal attention, but you will get exposed to a large swathe of very good and very different dancers.
