Salsa in Madrid

Preko, I am sure if you email Felix (felix@simposalsa.com), he would be able to make some accurate suggestions for you. He is the organizer of the Salsa Simposium in Madrid. I first met him 2 years ago and he is an all-around nice guy from my exeprience with him.

From when I was living there, the places I remember are:
La Sal - Wednesdays
Azzucar - Fidays (I think) and Saturdays
Empire - Sundays
La Riviera
El Son
Maybe a google search of salsa in Madrid would help as well, just in case Felix does not get back to you in time. I had a goood time at all of these places.

And - have you been there? Can you tell us sth. about the scene and the places?
We visited Madrid in October 2005 while the eclipse of the sun.
But we also check out two of the Salsa places: El Son and Tropical House.
El Son is more Cuban Salsa Music and only a couple of dancers looks very good. It is more a place of the Cubans and they have their own party there.
I like more “Tropical House”. It is a little more noble and the music is entrainment. A lot of really good dancers are there.
Dancing starts in both location not before 12.00
