Shake what your mamma gave you?

So i've heard shake what your mamma gave you and accentuate what she didn't. But what does everyone do to accentuate. I've heard things about wearing nude-colored shoes to make your legs longer and black is always slimming but what other tricks of the trade do you do to hide or emphasize yourself?

Oh god...do you want the laundry list?

For latin:

- bun more in the middle of the head to make me look less like a pinhead (yep, large shoulders - small head),

- still trying to figure out how to make my eyes look bigger (and am considering painting pupils on my eyelids to try to make it look like my eyes are open when I'm looking at the floor),

- a couple of tube socks for the chest area,

- double stick tape to keep the tube socks and everything else in place,

- try to find a costume that you can wear some kind of pantyhose/tights with (chance of finding? slim to none in the open gold category)

- and lastly, spend a fortune on rhinestones - purpose? blinding the judges of course...

;)

Not really seriously....:D

Just a reference to the girls in high school that have to stuff tube socks in their bras to fill them out a bit... ;)

In my case, it's the titanium bra cups (heh, joke from another thread) with a bit of padding in the latin costumes....let's just say I am not well endowed! :)

okay well maybe I can speak then from the more endowed perspective...I have learned to dance without cups in my dress...sometimes cups make me look too matronly so i go without....i have also learned that for me form fitting is more slimming than flowing and that a high up-do and low neck elongate..as well as long vertical floats...for latin, I prefer a short dress b/c my legs are not long but are nice and a long sleeve b/c my arms are fairly buff and it is slimming ...darker colors though not too dark b/c I am not small and AM dancing with someone who IS small...and in general anything that acentuates my topline and arm styling b/c those are strong suits for me
