Share your weird tango stories...

It was a group class and the teacher wasn't coming. Finally someone took a tango review, found his phone number and called him. And awaked him. One hour later he was there, not sleeping any more but still drunk. He started by speaking a lot, telling us of much moved he was to see us all here and how much he loved us, until he felt he had recovered enough balance to start showing some steps. But he hadn't. He picked a girl in the audience and tried to demonstrate a back sacada but his shoe ended twice in the ankle of the girl.

We're allowed to take the p1ss out of hippies.

In fact, I think it's a legal obligation in London.

Hmm ... one of the weirdest weekends I had in Totnes featured classes from a certain teacher who used to run Zero Hour in London :p

Of course she then felt the gravitational force and had to move down to the South West.Still Im sure it proves my point - err whatever that was..

This one? Or is there weirder... :)

Shamanic Tango is an opportunity to make an experiential journey into
the world of liminality... following challenging thresholds betwixt and
between: sensual and mythical, known and unknown, natural and cultural,
feminine and masculine, individual and collective... Its intention is:
to encounter a new and/or renewed sense of being at the edges of our
skin, body and imagination - stretching, elasticizing and enlivening
the sounds, the images, the concepts by which we move, dance and relate
to the 'other'... also, to clarify these edges as furthermore gateways
of our awareness through which our unique passions for freedom meet,
equalize, communicate and commune... finally, to extrapolate liminal
characters and stories amongst us, which are important catalysts and
gelling agents bringing more playfulness, natural wisdom and
adaptability to all our movement...

mitigate concerns and barriers

..probably go to Preuzer Muhle and get the same..

I grew up and learned to dance Tango here in Hamburg. But only since a few weeks I am aware, that there is a Tango-Yoga-Tantra - network within our TA community. Scary!

..betwixt and...

Never heard this word before, sounds like bewichted at first appeal ;-) because the german word for bewichted is behext, also with an x. May be this suggests that I am susceptible for that stuff? Remember?

It's a funny expression "betwixt and between". I actually would have said that "betwixt" meant "between". Maybe it means "within"? Who knows. English ... funny language!

I think you just believe in tradition really lol (ps it's "bewitched" not "bewichted")

Anyway, at least I´m on the way to admit this part of life, and don´t suppress it´s reality. So, lets start a new thread on psygotantherapy
