Shoe Addiction

If you know the difference between Chelsea boots and jodhpur (sp?) boots, I think you may be on your way.

Reading this thread made me feel much more secure about my future employment prospects. Keep up the addictions, ladies! :D

I am pretty bad about it myself, although I have an excuse--it's a professional affliction! Kind of like aching feet for dancers. Yeah.

My last purchase was a dark cherry red sandal with a 2" heel. I bought it when I realized I'll have to spend a lot of time running around Midtown, while still looking somewhat presentable.

Oh, and since I finished making the blasted senior show collection, I get to make stuff for fun for the rest of the semester, so my next pair will be gray linen peeptoe pumps with a slim heel and green linen lace trim, and the one after that will be dark aqua flat d'Orsay sandals decorated with shells I found on a beach in Florida.
I really really do love my homework. :D

I LOOOVE shoes, especially sexy ones with high heels! I'm like Laura and don't wear these kinds of shoes when there's walking to be done! I have a lot of cute shoes which I break in before my vacations where I plan on doing a lot of walking! Was just on the net last night looking at new shoes!

Hey CCCCat just a reference to my official title at the dance forums movng from Guildsman to Artisan...
I see. And if that artwork is any example, you are quite the artisan!

:D I bought another pair of leather ballet flats from French Sole (I think it's called London Sole here in the States; I usually order mine from London). I used to love strappy, sexy stilettos but after I started to dance, I prefer ballet flats, especially the low-cut ones that show lots of toe clevage...they're comfy and sexy!

I love ballet flats, too! Do you know their website?

I can't shop for shoes online, I must try them on first to make sure I like how they feel. Otherwise, no matter how cute they are, back on the shelf they go! :(

www.frenchsole.com

They have a store in Santa Monica if you want to see how it fits: it's called London Sole. But like ballroom shoes, I think it's cheaper to buy from
London and get it shipped over!

The online store I use is amazing! They have numerous reviews of the shoes, plus they list the materials and you can view the shoes from multiple angles. I have never been disappointed by that company, and the shoes are so cute & unique(like nothing over here in Japan), the compliments keep rolling in!
Prices are good, too! :D

According to my SO, I'm one of a kind... a woman who's does not have a shoe addiction . I accompanied his shoe shopping trip the other day, and he was amazed by my ability to walk past the ladies shoes section without even a glance. My last shoe shopping was January this year, after a pair of boots (the only pair of boots I owned) died on me on a rainy evening :(. I bought a replacement pair of boots and bought another pair so I wouldn't have to go boot-less should this happen again. Generally I only go shoe shopping when an existing pair needs replacing. I just don't get the appeal of non-dance shoes and absolutely HATE shoe shopping .

What's your most recent shoe purchase?

Whenever I try to buy one pair of shoes, I end up buying several pairs, usually from a couple of different stores over several days. It just snowballs, I don't know how it happens. I just can't help myself. The last junket resulted in the following:

 one pair of Liz Claiborne navy pumps for work, that the clerk selected for me
 one pair of Liz Claiborne black sling backs that looked cute, match a Liz Claiborne purse I already own, but are a little unsteady for me to walk in
 one pair of light aqua spring shoes, that are very comfortable and match a lot of clothes I own
 one pair of ivory spring shoes, same style as the light blue shoes
 one pair of lime green pumps, that are not very comfortable but still match some clothes I own
 one pair of beige pumps, because my other beige pumps are worn

All the shoes were on sale, and I especially got good deals at Macy's. But, needless to say, I don't go shopping for shoes very often. Maybe twice a year at best is all I'll allow.

Is there a support group out there...hello, my name is so-and-so, and I have a shoe addiction?
I'm jealous of the Purr kitty's shoe binge! I want one!

I just got a catalog of Very Fine Dance Shoes. What a selection!!!
It's fun to look, anyway...
