short hair ideas for american smooth

I will be doing smooth for the first time with short hair next week. I have been trying to think of some ideas I can try. If anyone has any input, pictures or ideas, I would sure like to hear them.

I've always done smooth with short hair. Just keep it sleek & don't let it fly around. My theory for short hair on the dance floor involves big earrings & lots of eye makeup - LOL

How short is your hair? I have almost chin-length bob and the last two times I've had the sides slicked back and gathered there for a mini french twist, and the top arranged in curls. It looked great, and made me look taller. Also, it was easier to sleep on compared to a fake bun.

short hair

often, when hair is long, it is curved and curled into shapes. other times, it is marcel waved and slicked. how about shiny and shaped. dance your heart out and start a new trend!!:rocker:

ohhhh, yeah, HKK too!

Heh, sure love fact I just slap some gel in hair, mess it up, and leave it at that. It's nice being a guy. :D

Nah, I put effort into that every day. Least, any time I'm going out, etc. I was just referring to the hair part. I"m around dancers every day. "Land of the Pretty People", as stagekat says. I have to make sure I look my best all the time. ;)

One of our local proam dancers has her hair cut like Amanda's (actually, the proam dancer is older so I think she gets claim to it first ;) ), and always gets great response on the look, both at our FA comps and NDCA comps. Rhythm and smooth.

My hair is the same as my avatar. Thinking I will practice on it tomorrow. Was trying to find out how to do a 1920s style finger wave. I may have to get the hair stylist at the comp to do it. I can usually figure it out myself. You guys think its ok to wear i like normal for rhythm? Everyone keeps tellling me it would be fine.
I have also been looking at Joanna Leunis pics for ideas....
