The STRICTLY BALLROOM 1st Anniversary Dinner Dance at La Luna Dance Studio (www.LaLunaDanceStudio.com) in Bensalem PA will feature a Professional Latin show by Roman Nabotov & Giselle Peacock and a Standard show by Elena Shabanova & Mikhail Zharinov on Fri. Mar. 17. I didn't know Roman and Giselle were dancing together. Should be interesting.
 
Yeah. I heard about this new partnership a couple of weeks ago. So happy to see Giselle dancing again, this time on the East Coast. Unfortunately, PA is a bit out of the way for me.
Let us know what it's like, if you go there.
 
The studio started as a Salsa studio. Then, later added ballroom. I think it's the first anniversary of their regular (i.e. recurring) ballroom dance socials which I believe they call STRICTLY BALLROOM. This will be my first time at the studio.
 
It was for the most part an older crowd. The facility is nice; it looks more like a rental hall than a dance studio. The show started with Pro/Ams. There was a young girl (early teens) that danced numbers with both Roman and Misha. She'd only been dancing a few months and did quite a nice job. Misha and Elena had a fair amount of open work in their show and Elena changed her dress for each number. Roman and Giselle have only been dancing a few months. The MC mentioned that Giselle comes out every other weekend to practice. So, I'm not surprised that they most likely were performing their competition routines rather than a specially choreographed show. They will be dancing their first comp. in Philly in a few weeks. It should be interesting.
