Solo practice of partner moves

Does anyone have tips for practicing partner moves while alone? I'm especially talking about asymmetric/non-frame-led moves like in swing, salsa, etc. Although even frame-led moves can have unexpected differences with a partner. But I'm still trying to figure out how I can effectively increase my repertoire of stretch/compression-led moves (swing) or moves with all sorts of arm positions (salsa) in my solo practice.

One thing that can help a bit is getting a thick rubber band, the type you sometimes use in pilates. Google "pilates rubber band" if you're not sure what it is and tying it around something stable and then you can use that to hold onto and practice stretch moves. I.e. it's helpful for practicing swivels in swing and moving into and out of counter balance.

Doesn't do compression obviously but it's better than nothing

ETA: I think for solo practicing swing/lindy etc. apart from the rubber band thing you can't really do much to practice the partnered stuff. What you can do is practice solo vintage jazz and work on your turns etc. The solo jazz is great at making you a better and more secure dancer and you'll have the vocabulary on hand in your body to grab whenever people goof off a bit and break away or play around in lindy

From my own experience: it´s not possible. I only know of the stick-system, because 100 years ago there were not enough women at dance schools. So they practiced with sticks, representing the women´s legs.
