Songs for a showcase

Hey guys,

I need some help. I have a student doing a waltz showcase. He's really into hard rock music like Metallica, etc. Any ideas on good waltzes in that genre. I can slow down something reasonably close but no vwaltz (whikch is unfortunately everything that I found). Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

"Kiss from a rose" is Viennese waltz fast.

"Amazing" by Aerosmith might work, after editing out about a minute of intro. Personally hearing a rumba but YMMV.

"One Year of Love" Queen. Around 42 MPM, might be slowable.
"Send Me an Angel" Scorpions. About the right speed, need to hunt for a section without breaks.

Not much for hard rock, but for rock in general:

Not What You See - Savatage (lots of tempo variations but probably the closest to what you're looking for)
Fade Into You - Mazzy Star (must be slowed)
Lucky -Bif Naked (must be slowed)
Rock and Roll Waltz - Kay Starr (not rock but plays with the idea in a cute way)
Misery - P!nk
Eclipse - Pink Floyd

All I can remember of one fast waltz is "AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERRRRRRS" but not the artist, etc. It was a definite waltz that could be slowed down though, and was very much not your standard woefully orchestral, darkly poignant DRAMA!Waltz of traditional showcase lore.

Black Sabbath - Scarlet Pimpernel
Arrogant Worms - Carrot Juice Is Murder
Curtis Stigers - I Wonder Why
