In checking for DD - even on the Saturday of Labor, SW Air is $80 one way sale, booked by June 23 with travel, I believe good until November 9th. CHECK IT OUT...this is GREAT (of course certain mileage applies for cost of one way tickets)

Well I just looked at one of the "fares" they are offering, on a select flight path. $198 Each Way doesn't sound so good... :(

Sale fares are usually limited to certain trips and it makes a big difference when you book and the flight times you want.

I'm cashing in free roundtrips from the old rewards program but it looks like the new rewards program is going to take a lot more to earn free flights. Meh, I intensely dislike ORD, United and American, so SWA and MDW are still my first choice. Other carriers are just small time players here.

Well it even said Boston to STl as low as 80... then it hit me with 198, the lowest, going all the way up to 359.

Why not just show me the BOS-->STL that IS 80... cause I can't find it!

Try their low fare calendar.

ETA: Yep. I went and checked. There are $80 each way fares (from BOS to STL) with travel starting August 23 through mid- November. Every day except Friday and Sunday. I assume there's a limited number of seats available at that price. *shrug*

Hi Larinda, Hmmm, in checking the air fare SWA calendar and not inputting dates of travel, there are "some" dates in August that are $80 one way fares for the Boston/StLouis route on Southwest Air. September sees a definate increase in more dates (airfare calendar link on SWA flight selection). And October is literally filled with 80 dollar (sans the government taxes and security fees on the one way fare). November sees $80 still, until about Nov. 15. It can be frustrating to try to find what one wants to find.

Thanks again for everything 3w. I think I told you that I got tickets, right? Well. As it so happens, my twin sister and one of my nieces got cheap tickets, too. Eighty bucks. Thanks to you. I really appreciate your taking the time to share this kind of information. Thank you. :-D

Hey there, your welcome. I love SWA rapid express check in feature. for an extra 10 mbucks per each way - it checks you in automatically (you still have to print your boarding pass) and you load after Business Select. Typically there is a slew of seat choices). I take an empty water bottle, with my own food through security (nothing liquid based as in mayo packets or jellos or puddings etc). Once I'm through I fill my water bottle at the water fountain. Save a ton of $$ not buying airport vendor food items. Have fun. Enjoy your trip.
