Standard Follow's Shoe Question: Who has worn Internationals before?

I am thinking of purchasing a pair of International brand standard shoes. I need a white pair, but lots of companies won't do alternate colors (not tan) in widths. Since I haven't purchased from them before, I was wondering if anyone had any insight to share as far as how the shoes compare in fit to other brands.

I have international super stars (pointed toe, diagonal strap). I love them. Supadances always dig into my ankle around the heel and the freeds I had were too wide for my feet. They do scrunch my toes into a triangle and they will maintain that shape for a few minutes afterward so if your toes are significantly wider than your heel they may not be a good option for you.

I had a pair (probably the same ones mindputtee has). They were okay. I have "duck feet" (a D-width ball, A-width heel, with a really high arch, and now on the rare occasion I dance standard I wear Supadance Smooth shoes. I have never found court shoes that fit my feet at all and only one style of smooth shoe.

Answering the question (but not your question exactly), the owner of International Dance Shoes is or was Rashmi Patel. Here is a video from them with the owner and some pictures of the factory and the shoe making process. I wore the Tango for men for years, but most recently I have been using Stephanie brand shoes. I found the fit similar, but a little less expensive. I'm not sure Stephanie is as popular with the lady's shoes. I don't believe that always one brand is better than the other, because people have different shaped feet, so you have to find the brand that fits you best.

Off topic: I have a similar foot to yours and have recently switched to the Ray Rose Rockslide and like them quite well - but no Supadance shoe has ever fit me well

Eh. Unless they're split-sole or extremely soft they still won't be comfortable. The biggest problem with court shoes is they're stiffer than skates (with smooth, the closed toe box means most are too narrow, but they're generally soft enough I can at least dance in them.)
