Standard Geekery

Trying to access Ballroom Guide. But the link that worked a few months ago, no longer working.
Any suggestion?
Thank you.

More recent snapshots from the Wayback Machine aren't working. This one from 2021 is still okay though:

ballroom link came up as a 404 not found. Latin works. Some syllabus standard charts can be back-doored from the "routines" pages.
eta: nevermind
the 2019 snapshot works.

She stepped outside his foot in that slip pivot :p

At pos 1:29

They have another slip pivot earlier from a cross, around 1:22. On that one, she steps clearly inside.

And to my eye, the inside-step slip pivot works a lot better. When she steps outside, in the screenshotted figure, I get the clear sense that the couple underturned the pivot and had to force more and earlier CBM into the next step to compensate.

Still beautiful! But merely awesome as opposed to wicked awesome, comparing those two moments.

That one isn't from fallaway reverse we discussed here

There is another one at very beginning. I'm not saying anything is wrong with it. Looks ok to me ... actually right in front of his foot as I said at the beginning of that discussion ...

It's also interesting that even back in his days, men almost never danced actual impetus turn in impetus turn - pos 1:04
I wouldn’t necessarily use a video of what he’s doing now as indicative of what he did then - or necessarily assume it was what all men did based on what he did.

I noticed that in his days

Checked an old video from '92 with them and Hiltons ... guess what - there was exactly the same pivot from back wave in foxtrot like on above video at 1:22 which I thought was, well, not planned that way ... didn't see hem doing closed impetus, but there was an open impetus - done exactly same way ...
